by now the requirements (as bug, not the full version control feature) will be:
if an OVF is change on the RS source, when the AM refresh the RS (required by the client) it will check if there are some changes on the OVFDescription and update it.
if the included Virtual Image file has change the OVF package will be marked as ERROR (because this will not be the complete control version system).
As workaround the RS can be deleted and re-attached.
